Henrik Yde b. 1970
Founder and brainchild of Restaurant Kiin kiin in Copenhagen, the only Thai restaurant to be awarded a star in the Michelin Guide.
Henrik Yde owns several restaurants in Copenhagen Denmark, all of them Asian themed.
Henrik Interest in Thai food was born during his four year stay in Thailand starting in 2000
Henrik worked his way through Asian restaurants, collecting recipes and learning hands-on the secret of Asian cooking.
The opening of Kiin Kiin has been a great success. The restaurant has been full every day since it opened in September 2006.

Decor & Ambience
Henrik takes great pride in designing everything in all the restaurants, from menu design to what chair or plate to be used.
Kiin Kiin is highlighted in The Michelin Guide for its tasteful decor.
Henrik Yde is both trained chef and sommelier, competing for Denmark in several international wine competitions.
In all the restaurants wine is specially sourced to bring out the best in matching wine and Asian food.
From 2012 Kiin Kiin has been growing wine in Pinoso, Spain. The production will be around 16.000 bottles.
Henrik has formed a collaboration with Mikkeller to produce beers with profiles that works with Asian food.
The beers has proven very successful and is being exported to various Asian countries.
Henrik Has handpicked a little farm in Kenya in collaboration with Coffee Collective, the beyond fair trade coffee can be enjoyed in all of Henrik restaurants.
Henrik Yde is a big collector of Asian art, featuring on modern Thai art.

The Danish high end supermarket chain IRMA sells a range of Asian curry and stir fry sauces developed by Henrik Yde
Henrik Yde published the big selling cook book Ricemarket in August 2011.
In march 2014 the book Kiin Kiin Stories from Bangkok will be published
Henrik Yde has played host & judge on the cooking show Master chef Denmark season 1
Henrik Yde was given the Diploma for cooking by the Academy for culinary art in Denmark 2009
